October 8, 2011. ANQ organized a grand celebration of Dashain 2011. For the first time in the history of ANQ, Nepalese from Greater Montreal Area, Joliette, Sherbrooke, Quebec city, Saint Jerome and other cities of the province were present to celebrate the event. There were more than 300 people participated.

During the day time, an inter-city football competion was organized. The team from Quebec city won the cup and team from Sherbrooke city came to the second position. The competion program was held in Mont-royal park, in the heart of Montreal.

In the evening, there is full course dinner was served and a cultural program was organized. The participants showed their talents with songs, dances and poems. To make this evening an ultimate one, we had invited one of the famous Nepali singers, Mr. Yam Baral to join us but he was not able to attend as he had to fly to Nepal at the last moment, he said.
